Welcome to our Studio
With over 20 years of experience, our journey began on the French–Swiss border, where we had the privilege of photographing hundreds of families. Many of those relationships have grown into lifelong friendships.
 We’ve captured love stories from the very beginning—couples getting married, welcoming their first baby, and growing their families over the years. That continuity is at the heart of what we do.
 Today, we are based on a peaceful farm, where our beautiful converted barn studio offers a calm, private, and welcoming environment for your session.
 Our approach is simple: gentle, baby-led, and entirely centred around your family.
HOW IT WORKS
1. GETTING TO KNOW YOU
ONCE YOU ENQUIRY, WE'LL SEND YOU A PREPERATION QUESTIONNAIRE
This helps us understand:
- The style and feel you love
- Colours and tones for your artwork
- Where your images will be displayed in your home
- Who will be included in your session
2. Planning Your Session
We then arrange a zoom call
During our call we will:
- Walk through your questionnaire
- Plan your session in detail
- Answer any questions you may have
This ensures everything is thoughtfully prepared before you even step into the studio.

3. Your Studio Session
Your session takes place in our warm, relaxed barn studio.
During your session is desinged with comfort in mind.

4. After Your Session

Once your session is complete, we begin the careful process of:
- Selecting your very best images
- Hand-editing each one with precision and care

5. Selection and Creation
ONE WEEK AFTER YOUR SESSION, YOU'LL RETURN FOR YOUR VIEWING APPOINTMENT.
Around one week after your session, you’ll return to the studio for your viewing appointment.
Together, we will:
- Select your favourite images
- Design artwork tailored to your home
- Build a collection that reflects your family’s story
6. Collection and Display
This is the most exciting time of all
Your finished artwork will be ready within a couple of weeks.
You can:
- Return to the studio to collect and experience your artwork
- Or arrange for our professional fitter to install it in your home
Once displayed, your images become more than photographs—they become part of your everyday life.

ARTWORK GUIDE AND PRICES
At Cooper Studio, our newborn sessions are designed to be a calm, relaxed experience, capturing those precious early moments with your baby in a natural and timeless way. To secure your session, we take a booking fee of ÂŁ150. This fee is fully redeemable against your chosen photography products, whether you decide on digital images, beautiful prints, or bespoke artwork for your home.

We also offer thoughtfully curated gift vouchers, perfect for baby showers or new parents. Our ÂŁ350 voucher includes a full newborn session along with a stunning folio box featuring five 5×7 inch matted prints — a meaningful keepsake to treasure for years to come.

We are surrounded by the Chiltern countryside. The perfect setting for a peaceful stroll before or after your session, with fields, wildlife and spring lambs often nearby.
Frequently Asked Questions
When is the best time to photograph my newborn?
The ideal time is when your baby is between 5–14 days old, as they are still very sleepy and naturally curl into those beautiful newborn poses. However, we can still capture gorgeous images of older babies too.

How long does a newborn session take?
Sessions are completely baby-led and typically last between 2–3 hours. This allows plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, and settling your baby so everything feels relaxed and unhurried.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
Just the essentials for your baby—milk, nappies, and a favourite blanket if you have one. I provide all wraps, props, and outfits, carefully selected to keep your images timeless and natural.
Is newborn photography safe?
Absolutely. Your baby’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I am trained in safe posing techniques and follow a gentle, baby-led approach at all times.

Can parents and siblings be included?
Of course! I always encourage family and sibling photos—these moments are just as important and make your gallery even more meaningful.

What should we wear?
I recommend soft, neutral tones and simple clothing without busy patterns. This keeps the focus on your baby and creates a timeless, cohesive look in your images.
What if my baby doesn’t settle?
That’s completely normal—babies lead the session. We allow plenty of time for soothing, feeding, and cuddles to ensure a calm experience.
How far in advance should I book?
It’s best to book during your pregnancy (after your 20-week scan is ideal) to secure availability. We’ll then pencil in your due date and confirm once baby arrives.

When will we view our photos?
Your edited gallery is usually ready within 1–2 weeks after your session. You’ll return to view and select your images here at our studio.
