How Wedding Photography Works at Cooper Studio
At Cooper Studio, we believe your wedding photography experience should feel seamless, personal, and completely stress-free. From the moment you enquire to the delivery of your final gallery (and beyond), we’re with you every step of the way.
Step 1,
Before You Book
We begin with a relaxed conversation about your wedding plans so far. We’ll talk through:
Your venue and timeline
Any restrictions or specific requirements
Your vision and priorities
Any worries or questions you may have
This is a chance for us to understand what matters most to you — and for you to feel confident that we’re the right fit.
Step 2,
Once You Book
From the moment you book, we open your private client portal.
Inside your portal, you can:
Add key details about your wedding day
Share inspiration images
Link Pinterest boards
Update timelines and plans as they evolve
We stay in touch throughout your engagement, offering guidance and support whenever you need it.
STEP 3
Six Weeks Before Your Wedding
Around six weeks before the big day, we’ll ask you to complete your detailed wedding questionnaire within the portal.
We then schedule a Zoom call to run through your wedding in depth, including:
Timings of the day
Ceremony details
Group photographs (if you would like them)
Special moments or surprises
We always approach group photographs efficiently and calmly — they’re an important part of the day, but no one wants to spend hours standing in line. We organise them smoothly so you can get back to celebrating.
Step 4,
1–2 Weeks Before
We arrange a final planning call to confirm everything.
We’ll:
Review your final timeline
Discuss the weather forecast
Plan alternative portrait locations if needed
Make sure every detail is covered
By this point, you can relax knowing everything is in place.
Step 5,
On the Wedding Day
We arrive with plenty of time in the morning to:
Photograph your venue beautifully before guests arrive
Capture both wedding preparations separately (bridal party and groom’s preparations)
We don’t work to a fixed hourly limit.
We arrive early and stay well into the evening — until we’re confident we’ve captured the full story of your day.
If you’re planning fireworks, sparklers, or a big dancefloor celebration, we stay for it.
Step 6,
Portraits
During the day, we’ll take you away for around 20 minutes for your portraits.
One of our favourite times to do this is when guests are being seated for dinner. This usually takes 20 minutes or more — making it the perfect opportunity to create beautiful images without you missing time with your guests.
It’s also a lovely, quiet moment for the two of you to pause and enjoy being together.
Step 5,
After Your Wedding
We know you’ll be excited to relive the day — so we don’t keep you waiting.
Within 24–48 hours, we upload around 100 preview images for you to download, share with family and friends, and post online if you wish.
Around two weeks later, your full gallery is delivered — typically around 900 carefully edited images — via your secure online gallery. From there, you can:
Download your images
Share with friends and family
Order prints and products
